 "HOUR of the WITCH" is a thriller novel. It is divided into two portions. In the first portion, you will read nineteen chapters, and it's called "The Book of the Wife". In the second portion, you will read twenty chapters and it's called "The book of the Witch". 

The story starts with a girl who was twenty-four years old and her name was Mary Deerfield. She was married to Thomas Deerfield, who was forty-five years old. She was his second wife.  Peregrine was a stepdaughter of Mary Deerfield. She was married to Jonathan Cooke. Peregrine already had two children.

 In the very first portion, you will examine that Mary lived with her husband and one servant girl, Catherine. Her husband often beats and abuses her for her small negligence. One day Mary found forks in her dooryard that was considered Devils thing. She shares this incident with her servant girl Catherine. But Catherine told her that she didn't know about the forks. Mary wanted to find out who buried this in her dooryard and why? 

So she again buried it in her dooryard. One night she went to dooryard and put out buried forks and pestle from the ground. When she was turned,  she saw Catherine, who was watching her. And her servant runs from the house without hearing her. And then her husband came down from the stairs and asked Mary what happened? Then she told him the whole incident. And then her husband lifted the forks from the table and slammed them into the bones of her left hand. She shrieked in pain. She was sobbing. And then she decided to divorce Tomas Deerfield. And the next day she went to her parent's home. And told them all about her husband's behavior towards her. And tell them her decision. Then they filed a case against her husband for divorce. 

She wanted a divorce so that she can marry Henry Simmons. 

But after two trials, the court denied her divorce petition. And give order her to go back her husband's home today. Mary was upset with the court's decision. She decided to revenge on her husband by herself. 

In the second portion of the book, you will read how Mary takes her revenge on her husband. And what type of situation she had faced. How she finds out who was behind such things. The ending of the story was super awesome.

The story creates your interest and suspense too.
